‘Don’t give in, Joe. Resist.
You and I may be on opposite sides but we both are clear. We want to have things our way or the highway.
However much I’ve said about you, and I’ve said a lot, I know we have something in common. And that is, no matter what reality says, we press on. I love you, man.
So keep on going. Resist.
I knew you had a bad night before the debate — I could just smell it — and, of course, I took advantage of it. Hell, you would’ve done the same with me.
Stick with it, man. Don’t believe the polls. Denial can be good for you. It’s done wonders for me.
I didn’t believe the polls in 2016 when everyone was saying that Hillary Clinton would win. And I beat her soundly. She still hasn’t got over it. I hear she has nightmares about me.
Joe, I’ve asked churches that support me to pray for you. Just for you, brother, in this hour of need.
You know how I’m tight with church people, so they’ve agreed.
In fact, I’m so tight that some folks believe I’ve got a direct channel to the Almighty.
So you’ll have tons and tons of church folks praying for you to stay healthy through election day and, I promise, I won’t insist on another debate. Cut you a break.
I would win, handily, anyway, so I don’t want to embarrass you.
