Trump’s Favorite Choice for VP

Marco Rubio. Yep. The Senator from Florida.
True, he won’t bring any money with him to be in Trump’s ticket, but he brings Latino votes.
Latinos are a motley group.
Some would vote for a Trump/Rubio ticket even if it meant endorsing massive deportations of their brothers and sisters.
‘Just keep me out of it. I have my papers to prove I’m legal.’
But such is life.
I agree that immigration must be gradual, and that now and then, according to economic conditions and public sentiment, the inflow must be adjusted.
But immigration from everywhere, no matter what the color or national origin, is vital to our future.
The Chinese, Russians, Hungarians think differently. Something about their purity.
No one migrates into China. They go out, not in. Same thing with Russia.
‘Want to migrate to Russia? Oh yes, please come in,’ Putin will tell you. ‘And what size uniform you wear?’
‘What?’
‘So we can send you to the battlefront to defend my view of the world.’
People who migrate anywhere want to expand their possibilities, not shrink them.
When immigrating to a free country, the payoff is not immediate. It takes time to see the fruits of it.
It takes time because the immigrant needs to be transformed by the receiving country.
But in the transformation, the talents of the newcomers are revealed and the rest of us benefit from it.
For immigration to work, it takes leaders with vision to tell the receiving country, ‘trust me on…
