Trump, We Will Not Let You Become a Dictator

We will not.
We will resist you. We will go out into the streets to let our voices be heard and so inspire others who have lost theirs.
We are Americans, some born here and some not, but we are people who have tasted freedom and will not give it up.
So far, judging from your behavior, you’re not getting it.
You’ve surrounded yourself with subservient people, who know only how to nod to you and will throw themselves to the ground to kiss your feet.
But most of us in America are free people. We are not Chinese or Russians who have lost their voice.
You’re acting as a tyrant. You have defunded crucial platforms for the affirming of our values and stirring up hope in others all over the world. Platforms like Voice of America, NPR and PBS, vehicles that inform and enrich the mind.
Your vindictiveness against those who dare oppose you is appalling.
In the process, you have become an embarrassment to our nation.
How dare you fire the head of the National bureau of Statistics because she delivered you bad news?
The unemployment figures are rising because of your policies.
Your penchant for self aggrandizement is pure folly. Like your needing a military parade. And lately your plan to build a 200 million ballroom in the White House. What the hell is that if not blowing yourself up with hot air?
Meanwhile, you have trouble finding your footing to oppose really bad actors like Putin and Xi Jinping…
