Endorsing Harris for President

It is time for our nation to move on.
Time for an American woman to lead our country politically and to energize women to recapture their right to have an abortion.
Time for an American woman to inspire women everywhere to assert their full political rights because that would be the power a woman as America’s president would have.
And just as we hunger for it, the world does too.
Biden has served us well but must now step down.
Evidence of his impaired functioning during the debate is clear.
There are no excuses for it. Not a cold, poor sleep the night before or jet lag.
For Biden to delay his decision is to tarnish his image. Any further delay reduces the time needed for his replacement to prepare.
Biden has served the nation with distinction and honor and should be very proud of it.
He must now look beyond his circle of advisers and friends, many of whom, consciously or not, may want to remain in the limelight through their association with him and thus may not have his best interest at heart.
The decision to pass the baton to Harris by declining to run again and endorsing her as his best choice should be only Biden’s to make.
Advancing age has taken a toll. Not every 81 year old is similarly affected but his lot is his to bear.
If he has not yet replayed the tape of the last debate with Trump, he should. And do it by himself.
It could well be that even an enfeebled Biden would beat Trump come election day…
