The story the WSJ published today regarding your secret conversations with Putin (since late 2022) raises grave concerns.
I was struck by the part that said that you had denied Ukraine access to Starlink (your satellite internet service) to guide their attacks against Russian naval bases in Crimea in late 2022. (Russia stole Crimea from Ukraine in 2014)
The article suggests that you were pressured by Russia. Maybe even threatened.
At the start of the war, in February 2022, you were in favor of Ukraine. Afterwards, you gradually switched.
You had provided Ukraine’s military with access to Starlink from the beginning but by the time the request came to have the system used in Crimea also, you said no, arguing that the system was meant for civilian use.
But you knew it would make a difference in the war.
Why didn’t you discuss the matter with the White House?
Wouldn’t they have helped?
Maybe you were already turning Trump supporter and didn’t want to give Biden any assistance.
Your denial of access to Starlink lends credence to the notion that you were pressured by Putin and his people.
In doing so you went against Ukraine and against democracy.
Do you still think that Putin is a statesman?
Mr Musk, Putin is a criminal.
His choice to invade Ukraine and kill tens of thousands of Ukrainians and sacrifice even more Russians in the process is a criminal act.
Ukraine was no threat to Russia.
