Trapped by your vanity. It’s smothering you.
Trapped by your belief that there will be little excitement in your life after you agree to step down as the democratic nominee for president.
Trapped by your misconception that there is no one but you who can beat Trump this November.
Maybe you just refuse to see that the Democratic party has plenty of talent. Men and women with administrative and political skill to keep us moving forward and stop the wave of toxic ultra nationalism that Trump and his supporters represent.
It’s very sad to see you, in your insistence to remain president, undo all the work you’ve done.
Very sad to see you under the impression that only if you’re elected twice as President will you be really top tier.
We have a recent example that should give you pause.
George H.W. Bush — a Republican — was a good president and served only one term (1988–1992).
His son, who served two terms, didn’t match his father, instead leading us into the disastrous invasion of Iraq (chasing nonexistent weapons of mass destruction) that ended up costing us the lives of over 4,400 US servicemembers, plus the many wounded, and an estimated direct cost of 1.9 trillion dollars and long term costs reaching up to 3 trillion dollars and beyond.
In the recent debate (6/27) it wasn’t Trump who defeated you. It was your age and biology.
And there’s no turning back on that.
Take a moment, Biden, and ask yourself…
