With Harris now the likely nominee, will Trump agree to it?
Harris is 59 and Trump 78. Harris has the age advantage, which translates into quicker responses.
In the June 27th meeting with Biden, the President was slow in countering falsehoods.
Harris won’t be.
Turning it around, Trump will probably be the slower one in the replies.
So at this stage Trump is mulling it over, wondering, ‘do I agree to the debate or not? Do I risk my advantage?’
But a lot could happen between now and September 10th, and Trump could slip in the polls in which case he would likely debate Harris.
Trump may insist on changing the format, for example, allowing an audience in the room, hoping to rattle his opponent.
Harris’s answer, should she agree to the proposed change, ought to be, pack the room with women!
