After a good presidency, some will say excellent, you’re now screwing up.
Royally.
You always knew you had advancing age to contend with, yet you managed and did a good job — something to be proud of. But then, quickly, age caught up to you.
So there you are, making mistake after mistake, with lots of people around you to protect you.
One of the last questions in the recent ABC interview was, ‘if you were to lose the election, how would you feel the day after?’ And to paraphrase, you replied that you would find comfort knowing you’d given it your best.
But as so many have said, that is not enough.
Too much is at stake to relinquish the presidency to a man like Donald Trump and his ultranationalist white supremacist supporters.
The world expects so much more from us.
But there you are saying to us, ‘I will not be pushed out, if you want to challenge me challenge me at the convention!’
