… the burden is on the politically aware, those with well formed opinions, to try and persuade the politically unaware, too busy or who simply don’t care, to take a moment to think before casting their ballot.
The vote of an unaware person — making an ill informed choice — annuls the vote of someone who’s put in a lot of time into shaping their opinions.
In consequence, the better educated a nation, the more likely it will choose their leaders intelligently.
Here in America, it’s Kamala Harris versus Donald Trump. Two very different types struggling to sway the undecided to vote for them.
There’s not much time left. Twenty days exactly.
The already committed to a candidate don’t need to see any political ads. All the advertisement and the money behind them is aimed at the undecided.
Will they vote or not? Will they make the correct choice?
Surely there are elections where there is no correct choice, both candidates being reasonable alternatives. But in this contest coming up November 5th, there is only one choice.
As for intelligence, both are on the same level. Even though Harris gave Trump a good pummeling in the only debate they had.
As for cunning, Trump gets the cake, leaving Harris far behind.
As for principles, no contest, Harris clearly overtakes her opponent.
As for honesty, again Harris way ahead in the lead.
But enter charisma and Trump beats her soundly.
And here we must pause. How can charisma…
