All the while they’ve been counting on the support of Iran and its proxies, Hezbollah in southern Lebanon and now the Houthi rebels in Yemen, as well as public opinion critical of the mounting losses.
The Houthis, with their incessant attacks on ships navigating the Red Sea, are feeling their importance magnified, thousands of fighters loudly proclaiming that their main enemy now is America.
Meanwhile the rulers in Iran gloat in satisfaction. ‘We’re getting to the real Evil of all Evils — America — so let us now kneel in prayer to Allah for showing us the way.’
Scoundrels.
Oppressors of their own people. Manipulators of hundreds of thousands to affirm themselves in power.
Depraved men, wrapped in false godliness, to deceive their own and lead others to their ruin or death.
Iran’s shamelessly spurring the Houthis to confront America is a clear attempt to expand the war.
Only one Arab country, Bahrain, has joined in an Allied effort to bomb Houthi missile sites and so deter them from interfering with navigation in the Red Sea.
The rest of Arab countries have been silent, and in so doing have become tacit approvers of Iran’s meddling.
