We’re now in the home stretch, with less than one week to go, and Trump is already priming his folks for the uprising.
He’s sensing he’s going to lose.
So he’s out saying that cheating is already going on in Pennsylvania.
And following his lead, in the platform X, some supporters are making outrageous claims about illegality in progress, one such message alleging that illegals were being moved to the front of the line to vote.
Steady, folks. It’s despair clutching their souls.
We trust our law enforcement to do the right thing.
Yesterday, in a park that had the White House in the background, the same spot from where Trump incited a mob to march on capitol hill to interfere with the electoral vote count almost 4 years ago, Harris addressed a large crowd of supporters.
And she had this wonderful line that said that if Trump got to the White House, he would arrive with a list of his enemies to take revenge on. She, in contrast, would arrive with a list of things to do. Which would include having some Republicans be part of her governing team.
So there it is.
The difference is clear.
Whatever Harris’ positions, compromise with sensible Republicans is possible, because sensible Republicans have something to offer. People like Liz Cheney and former governors John Kasich and Chris Christie.
Not so with Trump. He symbolizes intransigency, resentment, envy.
And that will keep him from being elected this next Tuesday.
