Yahya Sinwar was killed two days ago in Gaza by Israeli soldiers.
A drone tracked him down and fired on him.
They had been looking for him since the outbreak of the war, over a year ago, and Israel finally caught up with him.
He was seen as the mastermind of the attack on October 7th 2023 that killed over a thousand Jews and took over 200 hostage.
Israel tells us that never before have so many Jews died in a conflict since the Holocaust.
On the Palestinian side, more than 42 thousand have died.
Never before have so many Palestinians died in a single fight.
Gaza has been largely destroyed. Hamas not yet.
Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon has taken a pounding with many dead and uprooted but still they keep firing their missiles and drones into Israel.
From Yemen, the Houthi rebels do the same.
Can the world help the Palestinians give peace a chance?
All the protests we’ve seen have done little to stop Israel from punishing Palestinians.
Who can stop them?
Palestinians themselves. Not by firing on Israel but by renouncing violence, embracing peace, and asking for the world to help them stay in their lands without being subjected to Israeli oppression.
But if they keep firing on Israel they will be annihilated.
It’s a matter of time.
Palestinians don’t win gun battles but they might win a struggle for peace.
